Senior Pastor

Born and raised in California, I am married to the love of my life for over 24 years, my wife, Jennifer, and I have six children, one of whom we adopted from China!
I served in the United States Marine Corps as a linguist and an intelligence professional where I was able to tour much of the world and even work at the Pentagon!  Following God's calling through these life experiences drew me to serve the Lord and His church.

Through Liberty University Theological Seminary, I earned an MDiv in Theology and a ThM in Apologetics.  I am currently endeavoring to earn a Doctor of Ministry in Theology & Apologetics.

My hobbies include:

Next Generation Pastor

As Antioch’s Next Gen Pastor, Rev. Scott Reel oversees the youth and children’s ministries, and works with parents to disciple their children. Scott has been married to his lovely wife Jenny for 14 years. They have two children, Violet (5th grade) and John (Kindergarten), who both attend Wake Christian Academy, where Scott teaches 6th grade history.

Pastor Scott is a career Christian school teacher who also has a passion for local church ministry. Scott has a Master of Divinity in Pastoral Ministry from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Liberty University. He has 20 years of experience teaching middle and high school history in Christian schools. Scott also has 5 years of pastoral staff experience as a bi-vocational children’s pastor.

Scott loves football, basketball, reading, and playing all kinds of games. He also enjoys walks and travel with his family.
